Overwhelming entries received for 2nd Asia Agents & Advisers Awards!

18 Apr 2017

The closing of nominations for the 2nd Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards 2017 last week saw more than 350 entries from 25 companies in over 10 markets including Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

The category of Agent of the Year, followed closely by Agency Leader of the Year led in the highest number of nominations. The entries will now be closely scrutinised and judged by a panel of over 20 judges from the industry, chaired by Mr Mark Saunders, Group Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer of AIA Group.

“The number of entries show that agents take their roles seriously and see these Awards, the only regional Awards across companies and markets that looks at agents’ performance beyond just numbers, as a worthy prize and honour,” said Mr Sivam Subramaniam, Editor-in-Chief, Asia Insurance Review, which organises the Awards with LIMRA as the co-hosts, AIA as strategic partner and Sun Life Financial as sponsor.

The first round of Judging will be done by judges scoring the entries to select the top three finalists for each of the 14 categories. The finalists for the Agents categories will then be invited to submit a video clip demonstrating why they should win, which will be viewed during the second round of Judging to take place in late May.

The Gala Awards Presentation Dinner will be held on 12 July in Singapore in conjunction with the inaugural International Training Summit for Life Agents and Financial Advisers organised by AIR, an event to arm agents and advisers with the right skills and tools to do their job well and excel in their business.

The Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards salute the role of the agency force, the insurers and service providers supporting them, and their immense contributions to industry and society even in this digital age and social media.
