Financial Services Managers Association (FSMA) and The Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF) have announced the IBF Level 3 accreditation for the Agency Management Training Course (AMTC) on 26th November 2018.

AMTC is a skills-based program designed by LIMRA and offered by FSMA to help field managers fully develop and sharpen crucial agency management skills in the areas of planning, recruiting, selecting, training and performance management. AMTC continues to be the premier skill-development program for sales managers worldwide, because it produces quantifiable results.

“FSMA is delighted to have achieved IBF Level 3 accreditation status for our AMTC course. This is aligned with our commitment to serve the insurance agency field leaders and managers in their pursuit of excellence and professionalism. IBF Certification is an industry endorsed mark of quality for finance professionals. Individuals who obtain IBF Advanced (Level 2 or 3) certification through the programme would have demonstrated applied knowledge and advanced analytical skills for their supervisory function. We are proud to be leading the way in elevating individual competency, raising industry standards and bringing international best practices to the insurance industry through our courses,” said Mr Mark Tang, President, FSMA.

FSMA is the only voluntary organisation within the Financial Services & Insurance Industry in Singapore that is specially dedicated to serve the needs of all agency field leaders and managers in their pursuit of excellence and professionalism.

“AMTC is the flagship course offered by FSMA. Being accredited for IBF Level 3 means a lot to the association and the financial services industry. It shows our commitment to instil, maintain and upgrade the standards of conduct and practices relating to Agency Management in the Financial Services Industry”, said Mr Calvin Lee, 1st Vice President and Education Chairman, FSMA.

“IBF’s accreditation process comprises of independent reviews of an institution's ability to conduct programmes that meet industry standards. We are pleased to have AMTC as the first program accredited under the IBF Level 3 Financial Planning Standards for Management of Financial Advisory Representatives,” said Ms Rachie Hui, Chief Operating Officer, IBF.

IBF is a not-for-profit industry association to foster and develop the professional competencies of the financial industry.  IBF is the national accreditation and certification agency for financial industry competency in Singapore under the IBF Standards.

With the IBF accreditation, local participants who successfully complete the AMTC under FSMA may be eligible for up to 90% funding under the IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS).  Practitioners with at least 3 years of relevant experience can apply for IBF Advanced (IBFA) Level 2 certification while those with at least 8 years of relevant experience can apply for IBFA Level 3 certification.
