From Healthcare to Health: Where Do Insurers Fit?

| 27 Feb 2019

Given the runaway medical inflation and the whole gamut of healthcare services demanded, demand for insurance is rising. So what is the real role of insurers in the health space?

The rise in demand comes with a real challenge for stricter underwriting even as there are tremendous tech-apps and AI and Analytics available to customise products and predict behaviour patterns.

With the inroads in modern medicine, people living longer and the explosion of healthtechs, healthcare is growing and changing super fast! And big non-insurance names including Amazon, Microsoft and Google have seriously moved into the healthcare foray and medicine with deeptech, and reputations are taking centre stage. How can the insurance industry take a pole position in this consumer-driven competitive marketplace where the tech brands have an edge?

Asia Advisers Network is proud to be media partner of The Asia Healthcare Insurance Conference 2019. The conference will look at the revolution in healthcare and highlight the niche roles for insurers in promoting healthy living as part of the insurance process in cost containment, sustainability and staying relevant.

Attendees to the conference can hear from Peter Ohnemus, President & CEO, dacadoo ag, on Digital Health Insurance and Outcome-based Risk Modelling for Chronic Diseases; Luca Russignan, Associate Director – Global Insurance Knowledge Leader, Global Markets, EY Knowledge, on the Evolution of Health Ecosystems: How Health Insurance is Changing to be at the Centre of Well-being; Grace Park, Co-founder and President, DocDoc, on Mega Trends Reshaping the Health Insurance Industry; a panel of international experts on Healthcare Financing, Cost Issues & Quality of Care; and more.
