AIA (Cambodia) Life Insurance Plc (AIA Cambodia) has officially opened its new head office in the kingdom, strengthening the life insurer's long-term local commitment.

The relocation to its new premises in GIA Tower in Koh Pich, or Diamond Island, also aligns with the AIA Group’s AIA One Billion initiative to help one billion people in Asia live healthier, longer, better lives by 2030 and AIA Cambodia’s mission to move Better & Beyond as they continue improving their products and services. This includes increasing services to customers, communities, business partners and stakeholders by providing staff and life planners the facilities and amenities they require under one roof.

AIA Cambodia’s new head office houses more than 200 employees and over 500 life planners in a Grade A building, keeping to the AIA Group’s Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy to drive meaningful change and build long-lasting stakeholder value. As a Grade A building, GIA Tower incorporates advanced building management and health, safety, and security features, high-quality infrastructure, and easy accessibility.

The two-storey headquarters allows AIA Cambodia to better contribute to society, provide enhanced customer service and ensure clients access all their insurance requirements in a safe, secure environment in a prime location. The relocation also adheres to the insurer’s aim to increase insurance penetration nationwide and reach out to more Cambodians on the importance of long-term financial protection and savings.

The new office also includes a training facility, in-house clinic for staff and customers undergoing medical examinations, café and garden, and designed for flexibility, giving staff the opportunity to work and play wherever and however they choose.

The opening was attended by H E Bou Chanphirou, the Director General of the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia, AIA Group and AIA Cambodia top management, life planners and staff, stakeholders, business and bancassurance partners and invited guests.

In congratulating AIA Cambodia, H E Bou Chanphirou said, “I have to appreciate and congratulate AIA Cambodia for its remarkable achievements over the last five years and, today, the company has shown its strong commitment and confidence in Cambodia’s insurance market by moving into the new office. Today’s event has clearly shown that AIA Cambodia has a clear vision toward the growth and development of Cambodia’s insurance market which has more potential for growth compared to the other markets in the region.”

Mr Andrew Loh, AIA Cambodia Chief Executive Officer said, “Our new headquarters supports our commitment to remain here for the long-term and continuously invest in Cambodia. It will also make it more conducive for us to fulfil our purpose to help Cambodians live healthier, longer, better lives, and enable us to step up efforts to increase knowledge of how insurance makes a difference by acting as a financial safeguard against life’s uncertainties.”
