The newly elected committee was announced at FSMA’s recent 27th annual general meeting. FSMA said it has recorded a ‘sizeable growth’ in members from 2022 to 2023 and the highest number of members achieving Chartered Insurance Agency Manager (CIAM) over the past year.
“I would like to thank everybody for the continuous support and as well as trust in FSMA … we want to continuously bring more value towards members,” said first vice president Lim Hui Xiang.
“I urge all agency leaders in this challenging and uncertain time to engage your agents regularly and identify areas where they can be supported psychologically. If people feel safe, encouraged and motivated, they will go out and do the work,” said Prudential Singapore chief distribution officer Ben Tan speaking at the AGM.
“One of the ways in which FSMA has contributed to the growth of the insurance industry is through its role in promoting professionalism and ethics in the industry. We're very grateful to them for doing what they do,” said Asia Insurance Review CEO Sheela Suppiah.
