AIG appoints Christian Sandric President & CEO, Singapore

AIG has announced the appointment of Christian Sandric as President and Chief Executive Officer, Singapore which will take effect in April 2019. Mr. Sandric will report to Sachin N. Shah, Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific, AIG General Insurance, and will be based in Singapore.

In this role, Mr. Sandric will lead AIG’s business and operations in Singapore with a focus on strengthening the company’s leading position in the country.

Mr. Sandric assumes leadership of AIG Singapore after serving as Head of Personal Insurance for AIG Japan Holdings KK in Tokyo. During his 20-year career with AIG, Mr. Sandric has held a series of leadership positions of increasing responsibility across multiple markets.

Commenting on Mr. Sandric’s appointment, Mr. Shah said: “I am pleased to appoint Christian to lead our Singapore business. His deep industry expertise and international experience will bring enhanced value to our distribution partners and clients. Christian will be a great addition to the Asia Pacific leadership team as we focus on delivering sustainable, profitable growth.”

Mr. Sandric holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Conservation and International Affairs from the University of New Hampshire.
