5th Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards names 62 finalists from 11 markets

| 18 May 2020

A total of 62 finalists have been named for the 5th Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards. The finalists emerged from 11 markets across the region - Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The awards recognise the best in life insurance and advisory across Asia. They have become highly sought-after marks of excellence because of the esteemed judging panel and independent judging process. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, there were some 250 nominations from 12 markets.

This year’s panel of 30 judges consists of CEOs, senior executives, industry leaders and experts. Finalists were shortlisted after the first round of remote judging where judges went through a 1,200-word write-up and supporting documents that accompanied each entry. In the second round of judging held virtually on 15 May 2020, judges deliberated and voted for their choice of winners by secret ballot for the 14 categories, including Executive Champion of the Year. The entire judging process was conducted under the watchful eyes of international audit firm EY.

Results are kept secret and will only be announced on Awards Night.

The 5th Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards is organised by Asia Insurance Review and Asia Advisers Network, with LIMRA as co-organiser, and AIA as strategic partner. Mr Mark Tucker, Group Chairman, HSBC Holdings, is Patron of the Awards.

Mr Sivam Subramaniam, Editor-in-Chief, Asia Insurance Review, said: “Congratulations to all finalists! I would also like to acknowledge the judges for their time and effort in giving so much attention to scrutinise each entry and being so committed to selecting the deserving winners who will have a real impact in promoting the future of insurance in society.”

Mr Benjamin Ang, Editor, Asia Advisers Network, said: “It is especially in a challenging time like this that we should shine the spotlight brightly on professionals and companies in the industry that go above and beyond for their clients in good times and bad. All the best and good luck to all finalists.”

The virtual Awards Night will be held on 27 July 2020. A virtual summit, “Insurance Inspired: Winning in the New Normal”, will be held on 28-30 July 2020. Visit www.AsiaAdvisersNetwork.com/awards or email lifeawards@asiainsurancereview.com for more information.
