Finalists of 1st Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards announced

Some 20 life insurance agents and agency leaders made it as finalists for five categories of Asia's first-ever regional Awards to recognise and salute the unsung heroes of the life insurance market.

In addition, six life companies, three affinity partners and three technology providers to the life industry
were shortlisted in the other categories, bringing the total to 32 finalists.

Organised jointly by Asia Insurance Review and LIMRA, the Awards, with its clearly defined criteria and
transparent process, drew some 500 entries across 15 countries in Asia.

The panel of 20 judges drawn from leaders, experts and professionals across the regional and global life
insurance industry rose diligently to face the challenge of arriving at the following shortlist for the eight
categories.

The Judging Panel, led by Mr David Grant, Acting Chief Distribution Officer, Manulife Asia, as Chairman,
with its code of conduct to avoid vested interest in the voting process, will meet in Singapore on 16
June to select the winners of each category, including the Executive Champion of the Year. The results
to be audited by EY will be kept secret until the Awards Presentation Gala Dinner on 12 July at the
Mandarin Orchard Hotel in Singapore, held in conjunction with Asia Life Insurance Summit and Asia
Anti-Money Laundering Conference for the Insurance Industry.

The Awards, with AIA Group Chief Executive Mark Tucker as the Patron, Manulife as Lead Sponsor, AIA
as Strategic Partner and Sun Life as Sponsor, highlights the role of agents and advisers even in the era
of digital disruption and online sales.
