AIA Singapore and NHG Health have formalised a partnership through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing sustainable healthcare and improving population health outcomes in Singapore.

The agreement was signed recently at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital by AIA Singapore chief executive Wong Sze Keed and NHG Health group chief executive Joe Sim.

The collaboration is set to address three primary objectives.

First, the two organisations will work together to develop new approaches and models that support the sustainability of Singapore’s healthcare system.

Second, they will pursue joint initiatives in value-based care, with the goal of delivering improved health outcomes for AIA Singapore policyholders while maintaining cost efficiency.

Third, the partnership will emphasise programmes designed to enhance population health, including preventive measures and early intervention strategies.

Ms Wong Sze Keed of AIA Singapore said the partnership aligns with the company’s ongoing commitment to the health of Singapore residents.

“By combining AIA’s expertise in health and protection with NHG Health’s deep clinical knowledge and public health focus, we are poised to co-create innovative solutions that not only enhance the quality and affordability of care but also proactively address the health challenges facing our community,” she said.

Mr Joe Sim of NHG Health noted the importance of integrating risk management and wellness incentives with clinical capabilities.

“This collaboration will enable us to align financing with healthier behaviours, drive prevention and early intervention so that both individuals and our health ecosystem benefit from cost efficiencies and better quality of life,” he said.
