Immediate Past President: Mr Mark Tang
In his welcome address, Mr Calvin Lee, incoming FSMA President, said:
"The previous management committee led by Mr Mark Tang has done a tremendous job.
We would like to thank each and everyone on the previous committee for serving the industry and fellow practitioners selflessly.
I'm honoured to be elected to take up this baton and build on the great work that was done by all the previous presidents and committees before us.
In this coming term, we will focus on expanding and building on these five key thrusts:
Education: Following the successful accreditation of AMTC ( Agency Management Training Course) to highest industry level of IBF Level 3, we will continue to bring in other courses leading to the prestigious CIAM (Chartered Insurance Agency Manager) designation.
Membership: 80% of industry leaders subscribe to FSMA membership currently. We will continue to work on growing our members. We will form a membership sub-committee to improve on selling the values of FSMA membership.
Social Media Outreach: FSMA has done well in the last one year on reaching out to industry leaders through social media. We will continue this effort and communicate on the courses, events and activities run by FSMA.
Singapore Management Awards (SMA): To recognise successful agency leaders, FSMA will be running the next SMA on 23 April 2019. This time, besides conventional recognition through newspaper and magazines, FSMA will reach the audience through digital media as well.
Singapore Agency Managers’ Conference (SAMC): This remains one of the highlight events organised by FSMA. We will continue to bring in local and overseas speakers to share on topics to ensure that agency leaders stay abreast of agency management practices in this digital age.
The success of FSMA, and more broadly the industry, can only happen with the involvement and support of all stakeholders including members, companies, sponsors, media and fellow associations.
We would like to thank one and all for the support over the years and we look forward to working with all of you again this term to serve and bring the industry to the next level."
