HSBC Life Hong Kong makes senior appointments to two newly created roles

HSBC Life has made two senior appointments in Hong Kong to "support its growth agenda while enhancing its ability to bring a multi-channel differentiated health and wellness proposition for individual and business customers".

Celia Chan is appointed Chief Health Officer.

In this newly created role, Celia is responsible for developing and executing on HSBC Life’s ambitious growth and diversification strategy with a view to establishing the company as a market leader in individual as well as corporate health and wellness solutions in Hong Kong and Macau.

A veteran in the insurance industry, Celia brings with her a wealth of experience across business strategy, product development, customer experience, actuarial, asset-liability management and risk management from a number of regional and local senior executive roles at several leading pan-Asian insurance companies.

Most recently, Celia was Senior Director, Customer Propositions and Experience at Prudential Hong Kong, where she was responsible for transforming the latter’s health and digital capabilities in driving business growth, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

 

 

Daisy Tsang is appointed Chief Distribution and Customer Officer.

In this newly created role, Daisy is in charge of driving all life insurance sales and marketing activities across all channels and all business partners in Hong Kong and Macau.

She is also responsible for formulating and driving the implementation of insurance intermediary coverage, distribution models and commercialisation strategies to sustain HSBC Life as a market leader in Hong Kong.

Daisy has been with the HSBC Group for 20 years during which she has assumed a range of senior local and regional roles across product development, distribution, business performance management and strategic planning.

She was most recently Head of Sales & Channel Development at HSBC Life, where she drove the design and execution of market-first multi-channel capability in Hong Kong, including most recently HSBC’s integrated Appointment Booking, Video Application and Video Sales capabilities.
 

Both Celia and Daisy report to Edward Moncreiffe, Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong, HSBC Life.
