Manulife Singapore's Chief Customer Officer & Chief Transformation Officer to leave

Li Choo Kwek-Perroy, Manulife Singapore's Chief Customer Officer and Chief Transformation Officer, will be leaving the insurer.

In her role as Chief Customer Officer, Singapore, she looked after the Manulife Brand and was responsible for all customer-related marketing activities, communication and customer analytics. She also had accountability for strategy development for Manulife Singapore.

In this exclusive interview with Asia Advisers Network, she had shed light on the multiple hats that she wore, and her view on the strategic importance of advisers in the future. “It’s a natural portfolio of responsibilities. At the heart of it all is the customer,” she said.

She also said to Marketing, “I was brought into Manulife to transform the marketing function, and after a very good three years, it is fair to say that the STEM – strategy, transformation and experiential marketing – team (previously known as marketing) is one of the most dynamic teams in Manulife, with some of the most talented people we could have laid our hands on.”

She first joined the insurer three years ago in 2016 into the newly-created role of Chief Customer Officer and Regional Head of Bancassurance Marketing. Prior to joining Manulife, she was the Chief Marketing Officer for AXA in Singapore.

Li Choo is a highly seasoned insurance practitioner with over 20 years of experience in progressive leadership roles in various core disciplines ranging from Actuarial & Finance, Strategy Development, Project Management to Product Development & Marketing. She has worked in a mix of global, regional and local remits spanning across Asia, the US and Europe.

Listed in Asia’s Most Influential CMOs by World Brand Congress for 2015, Li Choo holds a Bachelor of Business, specialising in Actuarial Science from Nanyang Technological University. She is also a member of Institute of Actuaries, United Kingdom.
