Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore has appointed Gilbert Pak as Chief Marketing Officer, and Michael Kuek as Chief & Appointed Actuary.
The appointments strengthen its strategic focus in Product Development and Strategy, said the insurer.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Gilbert Pak will be responsible for leading the marketing and product strategy at TMLS. Under Gilbert’s leadership, TMLS’ product development bench strength will be enhanced, bringing a comprehensive suite of market competitive and customer centric solutions to meet our customers’ financial planning, wealth protection and creation needs.
Prior to joining TMLS, Gilbert most recently held the position of Regional Head of Product Management at Allianz Asia Pacific for eight years. He brings with him over 27 years of marketing, product development, actuarial and financial management experience across Asia.
Michael Kuek in his appointment as Chief & Appointed Actuary will oversee Actuarial Valuation & Pricing. Together with his team, Michael will continue to ensure the sound and prudent management of TMLS as a reliable and trusted insurer.
With close to 24 years of experience within the insurance industry, Michael’s immediate past positions held were as Chief Actuary, China Life Insurance Co (Singapore) Pte Ltd and Great Eastern Life Indonesia.
Besides possessing the Actuary Fellowship qualification, he is also a Certified Enterprise Risk Analyst.
